Nanjing’s Italian Design Expo Set to Once Again Rock Shanghai

Now a regular fixture on the Shanghai exhibition circuit, Italian Design Icons (IDI) has its roots in Nanjing’s foreign community, when a boutique expat law firm set its sights on Shanghai, from both a legal and design perspective.

Set to take place from 20-22 November in the heart of Shanghai’s creative district at the popular Liang Project gallery, the exclusive 3-day exhibition will this year focus on the theme, “Style and Sustainability”.

IDI originates in an idea by the DP Group and is organised by Eastant Communication & Events, following the desire to create a platform to further celebrate the excellence of Italian design in China, along with the kind support of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai.

Showcased will be a splendid collection of internationally acclaimed Italian brands, putting the spotlight on their innovative projects and products combining sustainability with the quality of Italian style.

Among the IDI 2020 brands present will be Ansaldo Breda, Casappa, Comau, Ducati, FAAM, iGuzzini, Itema, Maserati, Pirelli, Poltrona Frau, Technogym and UFI Filters.

Along with them, a series of renowned companies, universities and media partners will join in for exclusive lectures, whereby top Italian designers, architects, professors and key opinion leaders will have the opportunity to share their vision of a future where sustainability and style may harmoniously coexist.

IDI 2020 will be open to the public and it will be an inspiring occasion to celebrate design, embrace the sustainability of this new trend, and share knowledge from various industries such as automotive, industrial, furniture, fashion, education, and food & beverage.

The expo will also be enriched by interviews and press conferences with some of the most famous domestic media outlets and foreign media partners, and a VIP cocktail party to foster relations between the Italian, Chinese and international design communities.
