Recently, Nanjing hosted the signing ceremony for Polestar Technology’s China Headquarter Project.
Mayor Chen Zhichang met with Li Shufu, Chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, and together they unveiled a plaque for the project.
Polestar Technology is a joint venture between Xingji Meizu Group and Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC. It operates as a luxury electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden.
By 2025, Nanjing aims to lead the new energy automobile industry. The establishment of Polestar Technology’s China Headquarter marks a significant milestone towards this goal, solidifying Nanjing’s position in the Chinese market.
Further bolstering this momentum, industry giants like LG Energy Solution and Gotion, Inc. are making substantial investments in Nanjing, energizing the city’s new energy industry cluster.
In the first 11 months of last year, Nanjing attracted a total investment of 1032.82 billion yuan in signed projects, with an actual investment of 237.22 billion yuan. Additionally, from January to October, Nanjing received a total of 4.73 billion U.S. dollars in foreign investment.
