Recently, the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, in collaboration with the Qinhuai District, hosted the 2024 Nanjing Used Car Cross-Border Export Industry Development and Innovation Exchange Conference, actively exploring new models for the cross-border export of used cars.
This event received strong support from the Quota & License Administrative Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. Through video lectures, it provided professional guidance on the standards and precautions related to used car exports, helping businesses further mitigate export risks and expand their foreign trade operations.
Representatives from nine enterprises, including used car exporters and automotive manufacturers, discussed and shared insights on topics such as the policy landscape and trends of used car exports, the expansion directions of cross-border export models, and the integration of automotive industry resources.
To promote the high-quality development of Nanjing’s used car export industry, the conference proposed the need to further consolidate collaborative efforts and address pain points and bottlenecks in transfer registration, customs clearance, vehicle deregistration, and other procedures. It emphasized the role of the Nanjing (Qinhuai) Used Car Cross-Border Export Industrial Park in demonstrating best practices and advocated the establishment of a used car export enterprise alliance to strengthen the ecosystem building in trade, logistics, finance, equipment, and maintenance. The conference also highlighted the importance of establishing a global used-car purchase platform, providing inventory, after-sales service training, and marketing showcases for used car export companies. This initiative aims to establish Nanjing as a renowned brand for used car exports and inject new impetus into innovative foreign trade development.
The attendees include officials from Nanjing Customs, Jinling Customs, China Export & Credit Insurance Corp Jiangsu Branch, and some financial institutions, and representatives of used car export companies and automotive manufacturers.
