On September 19, David Swinbanks, the founder of Nature Index, released the latest data and research results of “Nature Index-Scientific Research City 2020” at the Zhongguancun Forum. The results showed that Nanjing ranked 8th among global cities in terms of scientific research.

The annual ranking of Nature Index has been released every year since first released in November 2014, by tracking the articles published in 82 top global natural science journals, such as Nature, Science, Cell, etc., which shows cities’ high-quality scientific research output.
