Three customs offices under Nanjing Customs District have recently released the Customs’ Detailed Measures for Supporting High-quality Development of Cross-border E-commerce in Nanjing (hereinafter referred to as “Measures”), which encompass 19 articles regarding supporting the cultivation of cross-border e-commerce operators, promoting the integration and innovation of cross-border e-commerce, optimizing regulatory services to facilitate trade, strengthening coordination to create a good ecosystem, among others. This provides policy support and an effective guarantee for Nanjing to create a new highland for cross-border e-commerce in Jiangsu Province.
As mentioned in the Measures, support will be provided for the improvement of the port functions and the international logistics system in Nanjing, the increase in the number of near-sea shipping lines to Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia and inland feeder services for foreign trade in the Longtan Port Area, the optimization of the layout of international flight routes at Nanjing Lukou International Airport and the full use of the capacity of all-cargo flights by cross-border e-tailers to meet export demand, the building of Nanjing into an international freight core port and the customs acceptance of sites and facilities, the increase in the number of international freight trains, the launch of new lines, and the development of cross-border e-commerce + China-Europe Railway Express.
Nanjing Lukou International Airport currently has 5 international all-cargo flight routes, of which 3 intercontinental routes mainly carry cross-border e-commerce goods, including home appliances, daily necessities, clothing, toys and decorations.
