Nanjing Lukou International Airport officially recovered the passage for transfer of international, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan connecting flights from August 15. This was the first time after three years that the airport allows international passengers to directly transfer the flight on a single ticket while going through only one check-in and one security check and checking through their luggage.
With the increasing popularity of cross-border tourism in the summer, especially after the passenger flights from Nanjing to popular countries such as Sydney and Singapore for study and tourism have been recovered, about 60 international tourists transfer at the Nanjing Airport on a weekly basis to destinations such as Seoul, Sydney and Singapore.
Nanjing Lukou International Airport is expected to open international and domestic luggage check-through services and offer more service options so that it will become a new choice for more passengers and Nanjing’s position as an aviation hub will be further elevated.
