In 2011, Japanese documentary director Takeuchi Ryo took his family and moved back to his wife’s hometown-Nanjing. Since then, 10 years of documentary filming in China have begun.
In February, Takeuchi noticed that ordinary Japanese people have not yet realized the danger of the new coronavirus, and few people take the initiative to protect it. “I am very anxious. I want Japanese friends and people to take a look at China’s specific epidemic prevention measures, so that everyone can understand the reasons why China has effectively controlled the epidemic, and hope to provide Japan with a reference.”
“At the strong request of everyone, I specially produced an English abbreviated version of “Nanjing Anti-epidemic Documentary” with Chinese pronunciation and English subtitles. I also specially added messages such as’European friends, don’t discriminate against Asians wearing masks’. I hope I can Let friends from more countries better understand China and the actions of Asian people to fight the epidemic.” Takeuchi said.
