36 year old Hungarian Istvan Mezo now serves as a mathematics professor at a university in Nanjing.

He went to Hong Kong to attend a meeting 9 years ago, where he was lured by the complex Chinese characters. Despite the complexity of Chinese language and its culture, Istvan still insisted on learning. Coming to china was a big challenge to him, but he really enjoyed it.

By chance, he able to experiment with photography which led him into a new area that expand his horizon. Compared to others, he prefers to record ordinary people in daily life.

“Every life and work need to be respected and is worth recording.” He said.

Nowadays mezzo family has found their way to live here, and their story continues.
