In the first half of this year, Nanjing’s freight trains made 244 service trips (85 outbound and 159 inbound trips), representing a 30.9% increase and achieving 76.25% of annual target.
Nanjing maintains stable operation of seven freight train routes, covering over 70 cities in 15 countries and regions such as Europe, Russia, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
Nanjing is fully committed to launching cross-border e-commerce, grain, livelihood, postal, and commodity truck freight trains, ensuring the transportation of key enterprises and important materials.
The value of local goods transported by freight trains amounted to $265.217 million, accounting for 63.2% of the total and reflecting a 45.1% year-on-year increase. In the same period, Nanjing operated 23 freight trains chartered for key trade enterprises, such as LG and Skyworth, providing a safe and efficient international logistics channel for companies in the city and Yangtze River Delta region.
