Deepening Ties: Epiroc Group’s Expanding Investment in Nanjing

Epiroc Group, a global leader in mining, infrastructure, and construction equipment from Stockholm Sweden, has been strengthening its relationship with Nanjing consistently over the years.

The company’s journey in the city began in 1993 with the establishment of its first factory in China. Since then, Epiroc has made strategic moves to further grow its presence in Nanjing’s growing industrial landscape, including relocating its China headquarters to Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2014 and transferring production and R&D capabilities from Yokohama, Japan, to Nanjing in 2022.

On December 5, 2024, Epiroc’s President and CEO, Helena Hedblom, visited Nanjing to reaffirm the company’s long-term commitment to the city. During her visit, she highlighted Epiroc’s determination to continue expanding its investments in Nanjing, reflecting the company’s confidence in the city’s dynamic business environment. Epiroc and Nanjing then went on a discussion about possible future cooperation, focusing on technological advancements, market expansion, and the continued development of a high-end, intelligent, and sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Epiroc’s ongoing investment in Nanjing is one of the prime example of the city’s role as a key location for the company’s strategic growth in Asia. As Nanjing continues to encourage and embrace more and more global investments, a brand new chapter of global collaboration and mutual progress is emerging on the horizon.
