On June 8, 2024, Nanjing kicked off its 21st Foreign Investment Enterprise Dragon Boat Invitational and the International Consumption Summer Festival at Baijia Lake, Jiangning District.

21 teams from major foreign companies, such as A.O. Smith, Brembo, Cargill, Celanese, Changan Mazda, Ericsson, Phoenix, Schaeffler, and Sharp, participated in the event, bringing together around 500 participants.

This event, held since 2001, has become a trademark of Nanjing, raising the spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival.

Nanjing has become a hot spot for global investment, with 113 Fortune Global 500 companies setting up shop, totaling 235 establishments. By the end of 2023, the city had attracted over 17,000 foreign enterprises, with a total investment of $274.1 billion.
