Nanjing is taking steps toward a sustainable future through its ESG initiatives, including the “Zero Carbon Future City” and the Sino-Finnish Low-Carbon Ecological Pilot Demonstration City (District).
As a key project approved by the Ministry of Housing and Construction, the Sino-Finnish Cooperation Centre incorporates advanced energy-saving technologies such as double-glazed curtain walls and centralized renewable energy systems. Upon completion, the project is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 523 tons annually—equivalent to planting 28,300 trees.
To date, Nanjing has added 53 million square meters of green buildings and 20 million square meters of renewable energy applications, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future.
