On May 28, Chen Zhichang, mayor of Nanjing, met with William Yu, president of Honeywell China.
Honeywell, a Fortune Global 500 high-tech company, operates in four key areas: aerospace technologies, building automation, industrial automation, and energy & sustainability solutions.
In 1996, Honeywell partnered with China Aviation Industry Corporation’s Jincheng Nanjing Electromechanical Hydraulic Engineering Research Center to establish Nanjing Kaixin Aviation Accessories Co., Ltd.
Later in 2007, Honeywell registered Honeywell Sensing and Control (China) Co., Ltd. in Jiangning District, becoming Honeywell’s largest sensor manufacturing base in China.
Over two decades in Nanjing, Honeywell has integrated top-tier resources and expanded its business, aiming to make Nanjing its largest global production base for gas sensors and detectors.
Mayor Chen emphasized the alignment between Honeywell’s business sectors and Nanjing’s industrial strategy, expressing hope for increased investment and R&D from Honeywell in Nanjing.
William Yu praised Nanjing’s business environment, efficient government services, and strong industrial ecosystem. He affirmed Honeywell’s confidence in Nanjing’s future and commitment to deepening its presence in the city.
“In recent years, many outstanding enterprises have chosen Nanjing as their hub for innovation and entrepreneurship,” remarked William Yu. “This is why we chose Nanjing, and it will undoubtedly be the reason other enterprises will choose Nanjing too.”
