The 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) concluded in Guangzhou on May 5. The Nanjing Trading Group organized 261 key import and export companies in the city to participate in the fair, among which 35 took part in the exhibition for the first time. Their products were exhibited in 46 exhibition areas, including general machinery, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, household appliances, and household products. Both the number and covering area of exhibitor booths in the fair hit record highs.
Integrated Development of New Businesses Formats
In the cross-border e-commerce pilot zone and overseas warehouse zone, which were set up in the fair for the first time, Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group, with rich experience in participating in the fair, actively seized the new opportunity to launch new products, showcasing its transformation to a service provider in new business formats. Relying on its independently developed cross-border e-commerce platforms such as “meethollyway.com” and “sohoeb2b.com”, the group creatively combined cross-border commerce with industrial belts to allow platform users to have access to more collective resources. It has also sped up the launch of new product portfolios in the global market to facilitate global trade and enhance its digital matching-making capabilities in an all-round manner. Since participation in the fair, at least 110 enterprises have registered on meethollyway.com and sohoeb2b.com has built partnerships with multiple leading trading companies.
Launch of New Brands by Nanjing Exhibitors
By launching a series of new products at the fair, including motorcycles, electric vans, road sweepers, and construction machinery, Jincheng Group received intent orders from buyers in countries such as Nigeria, Mongolia, and Peru. The smart robot lawn mowers and smart air pumps newly launched by Nanjing DU-HOPE International Group were strongly favored by overseas buyers who made frequent inquiries at the fair. The orders signed this year doubled those of last year. About 50 electric tools from High Hope Int’l Group Jiangsu Mingjun Imp & Exp Corp. Ltd. were exhibited in the fair for the first time, which were independently designed and produced by the company at the same level of quality as internationally renowned tool brands. Inspired by the music of the famous composer Johannes Brahms, Nanjing ComfortAce Import and Export Co., Ltd. launched the Brahms Deep Sleep Neck Pillow at the first exhibition of the third phase of the fair.
Reach out to the Wider World Online
Utilizing its advanced “Smart Expo” technology, Made-in-China.com specifically created a dedicated section synchronized with the Canton Fair, seamlessly connecting with the Canton Fair’s formal main venue. By providing diversified marketing scenarios, it actively supported the Canton Fair’s online platform to jointly craft an enduring trade event. This year, Made-in-China.com rehosted its MIC Canton Fair Live Show, which consisted of a number of immersive live streams targeted at the Chinese suppliers who were unable to participate in this fair. They were offered a chance to fully learn about the fair’s first-hand information and grasp the new trends in global procurement. It also allowed overseas buyers to visit the fair to gain a comprehensive view of Chinese products, engage in online negotiations with suppliers, and complete B2B purchases without leaving their homes.
